I have no problems posting any opinions as long as there aren't any unfair personal attacks, defamatory remarks or insinuations.

About Univision... its a huge company with many affiliates. Every news station under Univision covers news differently. The news from the national station will be very different from the Miami station. When it comes to Radio Mambi, I'm pretty sure that Armando Perez-Roura has over the years established what the limits are in covering the news. If you listen to WQBA 1140AM (also under Univision) you have a very different approach to news, but still with some similarities when it comes to Cuba and Venezuela.

Spanish radio in Miami mostly serve the hard-line when it comes to Latin America. I particularly enjoyed the ending about identity and the us vs. them binary psychology that goes with it.

I knew nothing about the history of the embargo. Thanks.

Do you take submissions? I would really like to contribute from the point of view of someone who can't help but listen to Mambi the way we sometimes can't help but slow down the car to see the huge accident on the hignway.

Also, what do you think of the fact that Univision owns Mambi? Univision seems to follow the commercial center line for news (with immigration on steroids). Such view doesn't seem compatible with mambi's. Does this matter?Tijerónhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13292829912599259296noreply@blogger.com
